A scuba diving group, Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) is turning recycled plastic water bottles from the ocean into face masks for protection against COVID-19. PADI is in partnership with Rash'R, a company that sells eco-friendly active wear. Each mask is reusable, washable and sustainable selling for $20.84 which includes 5 filters. PADI swears they aren't profiting off this difficult time. They are doing something that helps clean up the ocean, and turning the waste into something useful that can help with protection during the coronavirus pandemic.

The masks come in 5 different sea animal designs, with one that fits children ages 4-10. Their demand is higher than expected, so production has been ramped up. Pre-orders are being taken. The amount of masks they have sold so far have helped remove and reuse well over 1,260 pounds of plastic ocean waste. A Win-Win for lots of lives!
