honey Ted & I teamed up yesterday making a chocolate creation for the 1st time ... Triple Layer Dark Chocolate Oreo Pie. We were inspired by an online recipe. We added and put a few kicks of our own in it.  We made a mess, but had fun doing it. See if it's Pure Bliss or a Big Miss ...

OREO® Triple Layer Chocolate Pie / All Recipes.com

Ingredients / Ours:
(You can make all different variations of this pie changing up the Oreo cookie flavors / Pudding/ Candy Bar. Make it you own)

  • 32 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided -  1/2 Dark Chocolate Oreos & 1/2 Most Stuf Oreos
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted  - 1tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups cold milk - 1 1/2 cups milk 1/2 cup Hershey's Chocolate Caramel Coffee Creamer
  • 2 pkg. (4 serving size) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling - Dark Chocolate Instant pudding (Hershey's Dark Chocolate / or your fav)
  • 1 (8 ounce) tub COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided - Kicked it up Big time w/ COOL WHIP - Original is good. BUT ... We KICKED IT UP w/ COOL WHIP  Mix-Ins Double Chocolate Brownie. They also have Oreo Cookie Mix-In too! Both yummy! 
  • Addition of ours: Chocolate Caramel Bar .. experiment with different bars / or use chocolate chips 

Directions / Ours:

  • Finely crush 24 of the cookies; mix with butter. Press firmly onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate.- We found it's easier to take the filling out , crush the cookies and break up the filling and mix it back in w/ butter / margarine w/ 1 tsp vanilla.
     
  • Addition - Large Chocolate Caramel Bar- Break in pieces add splash of vanilla- melt in microwave starting w/ 30 seconds. Add drops of hot water as needed to have it thin enough to spread on the Oreo Cookie crust. Save 1/3 of it for topping! 


 

  • Pour milk / coffee creamer combo into large bowl. Add pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes or until well blended. (Mixture will be thick.) - Yep, this works! 
     
  • Spoon 1-1/2 cups of the pudding into crust. Gently stir 1/2 of the whipped topping into remaining pudding; spread over pudding layer in crust. Chop remaining 8 cookies; stir into remaining whipped topping. Spread over pie.  Drizzle the rest of the Chocolate Caramel Bar on top of the Oreo bits. 
     
  • Refrigerate 4 hours or until set.  It was in the frig for 6-7 hours before we ate it.  Overnight it seems to get even better
     

No Bake too. Great yummy dessert to have especially during the Central Texas Heat! Yummy and keep you & your kitchen cool! Taste Yummy! Presentation. We need to work on that. The layering look.. over all presentation. We call it the 'Made w/ Love Look'!  #HeatherandhoneyTed
