HOUSTON (Talk1370.com) -- As the fight against COVID-19 continues, one more of Texas' urban centers is taking the shelter-at-home approach. Officials in Houston and Harris County announced a "Stay Home, Work Safe" order Tuesday morning. The order calls for residents to stay at home except for essential business - grocery stores, medical care, essential businesses, and a handful of other exceptions detailed by the federal government.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said the order will go into effect at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday night and will stay in effect through April 3, the same date as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's current order limiting social interactions across the state. ...  Austin area leaders expected to announce similar orders later today. More here Talk1370.com #stayconnected
