Scenes of Notre Dame Cathedral in flames

*Personal note:
It's been while since I heard from Joanne. She & her hubby at the time were the ones I was visiting for my Europe trip after college graduation. He was in the airforce and was called in, so she and I did lots of fun sightseeing together. One of our stops was Notre Dam Cathedral.  It's amazing how things like this have you touching base with those you haven't heard from in a long while.

Quick FB chat:
Joanne - Heather Rivera  "Do you remember when we saw it? It was so long ago..."
Heather Rivera- Joanne  "I sure do. I've been thinking about it & you. That trip is one of my favorite times of life. Being able to have those experiences w/ you was the best. You Rock!"

My heart is broken seeing Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Fire (4/15/19). What a helpless feeling watching the flames engulfing such Historical Beauty. When I graduated college ( years ago) , I had the chance to visit my friend in Germany. We took some day trips during my time there. One trip was a day in Paris.  Although it was a whirlwind day of sightseeing, I made it a priority to take the Notre Dame Cathedral tour. Even then renovations where going on, so I was able to see certain parts of it.  I had always wanted to walk in Notre Dame Cathedral since I was a little girl. Seeing it in movies, photos and on the news.I will have to see if I can find photos. I lost most of my past photos during Hurricane Katrina . I will have to see if any of the photos are in the few photos albums I do have. I',m thankful I  have the memory of the experience I had walking into Notre Dame Cathedral . The Historical Beauty is Amazing. It's SO SAD seeing the videos & photos of it getting engulfed in fire.

For now, how the fire started is not known, but the word is the renovations could have created sparks which ignited the fire. It's during Holy Week too!  The World is also feeling the Sadness of the Beauty that is Notre Dame Cathedral being melted & burnt in each part the flames it's engulfed in.
