Looking for something sweet 'n salty during your social distancing time w/ your honey / family?  Then you have to give this one a try. First time I've ever done this, by request of honey Ted.  Something you could try while COVID-19 has you hunkered down at home , or even a treat to eat while you're working in an essential place that is open. Thank You! Big Love to all who are working hard to make sure we get the essentials needed to stay safe & healthy.  Healthy.. guess you'll want to eat these in moderation... add some cardio to your day ...

Easy recipe. The Original Tollhouse Cookie recipe on the back of the bag w/ a few tweeks. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda    1/2 tsp baking soda & 1/2 baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt   no salt, plenty in the potato chips
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened   1 1 /2 sticks of butter / margarine at room temperature.  Potato chips have enough oil to cut out the half. Room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs  room temperature
  • 2 cups (12-ounce package) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
  • 1 cup chopped nuts  Generous 1 cup of potato chips. We used Ruffles

Directions: Preheat oven 350. Mix the butter/ margarine and the sugars well / creamed up like. Add the vanilla. Mix well. Add the eggs one at a time mixing well. Add the dry ingredients 1/ 3 at a time until it is mixed well. Add the chocolate chips. Refrigerate for a couple of hours (optional). Let dough set out a bit so you can mix in the potato chips. Do this right before you bake so the potato chips are crispy baking in the cookie. Bake on 350 for 10-12 minutes depending on your oven. Let cool enough so it doesn' burn your tongue. Enjoy!
