honey Ted & I are getting ready to hit the road to see family in Omaha, Nebraska soon. We'll also be driving to Galveston to enjoy some time celebrating our 17th Wedding Anniversary. This means lots of Summer Road Trip Driving which equals lots of gassing up. When I caught this Time write up about a new tool that can calculate how much you will pay for gas this year based on your ride, I clicked and gave it a try.

I found out the most popular vehicle in 2017 was the Ford F Series Truck. This year it will cost around $413 more for gas then in 2017. The estimates for drivers of Honda Civics and Toyota Camrys is around a $206 increase in gas cost during 2018.

The numbers are based on the Energy Information Administration's estimate of the average cost of gas a gallon in 2018.. $2.79. This is 37 cents higher than  last year's average. It's also based on the average miles a ride is driven during a year.. 13,000 miles

During 2018 driving our 2015 Mazda CX-5 4WD/ ALL Wheel, it will cost about $270 more for gas.  Give it a try and see what your ride gets...
