Sean Mack's movie review: "Emma"

Let's journey back, shall we?

Movies can be a good way to escape.  They can immediately transport you to another time and place.  “Emma” is a movie that will do just that.  Set in the English countryside in the early 1900s, “Emma” follows the romantic entanglements of a group of young people and their families, based on the classic Jane Austen story.  Even if you’re not familiar with the story of Emma, there’s a chance the material will feel familiar…the hit movie “Clueless” is based on the same story!

“Emma” is filled with some great characters and laughs.  The main takeaways of the film are the costumes and scenic landscapes.  They should use this film at the England tourism department-you will immediately want to fly across the pond to see some of the stunning views and houses for yourself.  If you’re looking for an escape for a couple of hours, you could do much worse than “Emma”!
