Over the weekend, my wife and I took a trip to Big Bend National Park.  It was amazing(that blog will come shortly).  On the way home, we had one more stop on our itinerary-the Sul Ross desk in Alpine.

Legend has it that way back in 1981, three students at Sul Ross State University hiked to the top of nearly Hancock Hill with an old school desk.  Over the years, it has become a popular destination-people are encouraged to write notes(there are notebooks in the drawers) or even add a little graffiti to the desktop.

After about 30 minutes of heading up on some rocky pathways, there it was!

The view was incredible.  Well worth it.  So if you’re heading out west, maybe to Marfa or even El Paso-make a stop and check out the desk and leave a note!
