Sean Mack visits the Electric Daisy Carnival

Dance from dusk 'til dawn!

May 21, 2019

I’ve always been a big fan of EDM music.  For years, I had seen and read all about the world’s largest dance music festival-known as the Electric Daisy Carnival(or EDC).  It takes place in Las Vegas every year, with 150,000 people attending nightly.  Yes, this is a nighttime festival…it starts at 7pm and ends at 5:30am!  For three nights in a row!

My fiancé and I threw on our most comfortable shoes and flew to Vegas to accept the challenge.

EDC is crazy.  There are eight huge stages-no matter where you walk, there is a giant dance party involved.  On top of that, between all the stages there are carnival rides, art exhibits…

…vendors, food, souvenirs, street performers…

…clowns, and lights, lights, lights.  Here’s a look at the grounds from one of the Ferris wheels:

It was a nonstop sensory overload.  I need to go to a quiet library for a few days to recover.  That being said, it was amazing-the best music festival I’ve ever been to in my life.  The music, the positivity of the people, the lights, the art…it’s all incredible.  I’ll be back again, for sure!
