West of the Fest 2019 Mix 94.7

X Ambassadors West of the Fest Mix 94.7

X Ambassadors

These guys need no introduction to Austin-they have been playing shows here for years, including a major stage set at last year’s ACL Fest in Zilker Park.  You know them from such smash singles at “Renegades” and “Unsteady”, and these central New Yorkers are thrilled to be in Texas in the Spring for West of the Fest 2019!

Dean Lewis

Dean Lewis

Dean Lewis will be the first to tell you how his world has been turned upside-down in the past few years.  Less than four years ago, he was in search of a way to get his music to the masses.  A songwriting deal followed, but Dean wanted more control…namely, he wanted to sing his songs himself.  He finally got his big break and he didn’t disappoint.  The powerful breakup anthem “Be Alright” has been a worldwide sensation, starting in his native Australia and is now a top-ten hit in the United States with over 40 million YouTube views!  Dean is excited to be back in Austin at West of the Fest 2019!

Be Alright:

Judah & the Lion

West of the Fest is famous for giving you an intimate show with bands right before they make it REALLY big.  And despite the fact that Judah and the Lion has had their fair share of success in the past couple of years, 2019 is looking like the year they take it to the next level.  Their new album “Pep Talks” will feature their trademark infectious sound (don’t worry, there will be plenty of ukulele)…including a collaboration with Best Album Grammy winner Kasey Musgraves called “Pictures.”  We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the guys back to Austin for West of the Fest 2019!

Take It All Back:

Flora Cash

You want a modern-day love story?  Well look no further than Flora Cash.  Minneapolis native Cole Randall was posting his songs to Soundcloud when he noticed comments from a woman halfway across the world, Shpresa Lleshaj.  The two began chatting on Facebook…and then Skype…and eventually in person.  The next thing you know, they were married!  Their full-length debut, “Nothing Lasts Forever (And It’s Fine),” was released in 2017 to critical acclaim.  Their breakout single, “You’re Somebody Else,” is currently racing up the charts…and they are here to perform for you at West of the Fest 2019!

You’re Somebody Else:

West of the Fest has had a long tradition of bringing some of Australia’s biggest bands to Austin, and Mansionair continues that tradition this year!  The band formed in 2014 and have spent the past three years working on their long-awaited debut album, “Shadowboxer.”  It is full of the unique alt-pop sounds that have made them a sensation Down Under while tackling such topics as mental health, sickness, relationship breakdowns…as well as the coming-of-age struggles of youth.  They’ve toured with such bands at CHVRCHES and Florence and the Machine…and now they make their West of the Fest debut for you!

Astronaut (Something About Your Love):

Just Loud

Just Loud

West of the Fest is always a party…and Just Loud always brings the party to the stage!  He’s putting the finishing touches on his debut album, due later this year.  As for what to expect on that album, expect the unexpected…his sounds cross multiple genres and are bound to get your body moving!  His latest single, “Soul Train,” features a collaboration with the legendary Debbie Harry from Blondie.  Get a good spot up front and bring your dancing shoes when Just Loud performs at West of the Fest 2019!

Soul Train:

Brynn Elliott

Brynn Elliott

Not many people have had a crazier last 12 months than Brynn Elliott.  Last spring, she became the first person in her family to graduate from college…on top of that, she graduated from Harvard!  She spent the summer and fall traveling the country in support of her debut EP, “Time Of Our Lives” - including national TV performances on “Live with Regis and Kelly” and “The Today Show.” She’s built a big fan base with powerful female empowerment anthems such as “Might Not Like Me.”  She’s now getting ready to hit the road with boy band sensation Why Don’t We in the spring but before that, she’s back in Austin to play West of the Fest 2019!

Might Not Like Me:
